A friend of mine, who somehow happened to do a google search on my name, said I had alot of results showing. So where did they get all this information? 

Well some may have been previous high schools (I've moved 9 times, and been to 7 different schools since Year 1) 
     or
from winning competitions (won Loreal's lipgloss)
     or
winning a writing competition in Shanghai magazine a couple years back... (creative writing about me being a tiger at the zoo lol)
     or
its from the various games I've played (such as IWKY where in the newly updated reset people Pretended to be me and my partner)
     or
games still playing (http://blue.bots2.net and http://www.ottawacrime.org) 
     or
forums (free sweets: http://www.sweetcollect.com/?referer=hotcocoa - haha it's true, I've had 451 sweets dispached already - free postage too! -only downside is tooth cavities lol)
     or 
from blogs and online profiles!

Okay, with all the online network communications - chat, forums and web logs, I've had plenty..

Now I only use facebook because many of my friends are from worldwide, and it provides a simple approach on keeping track of them, and it's sooo cool because there's so many different applications to keep your interest!

As you are well aware, I am a student. I now partake in little engagement with blogs now however I am here to guide you through the use of a blog and point out some issues regarding to it's use.
Can I just see a show of hands how many people have never seen a blog? Who has used a blog? And those who have no clue what I am on about? *only 3 people maintained a blog, with a dozen only seeing it, and the rest? sigh*
A blog, which is derived from the term weblog, is a website where journal entries are made and a socializing network. It has only become a recent use within the last decade as popularity increases. This is due to the efficient and easy access to the internet, it has become less technical and simply more and more people use it because it is free. 
Blogs contain news or as personal online diaries such as MSN Spaces (now refered to as Windows Live Spaces, 30 mil). There are various commonly used blogs such as Bebo (22 mil) , Xanga (40 mil) , Hi5 (40 mil) MySpace (100 mil) , and Yahoo's 360 degrees (2 mil). *I am sure the figures have increased alot already*
Like any other webpage, a blog has text, images, links, and also photographs, videos and audio.
The web interfaces allow anyone to create, modify and use a blog.
The most obvious advantage is the communication link. I am an introvert, however online, people find me a completely different person. It is the knowledge, or lack there of, that nobody knows who you are and you can say whatever you want. That could also lead to a downfall where people do know your identity. Cyber-bullying can be an issue on social-networking sites, with some teenagers taking advantage of the anonymity of the Internet to abuse and ridicule their peers.The problem is, whatever is posted on another person's site, you cannot delete or edit someone elses post. Complaining to the site could work, and could get a profile to be removed. Though it would not stop people from posting at different sites.
